I visited Boston, Massachusetts for a little over a day in September to meet up with Lanai's Travel Club and travel to Lisbon or Lisboa, Portugal.
(Above: Walking around Boston is easy in that it's relatively flat, the sidewalks are pretty even, and if you get lost, call an Uber or Lyft or cab. Luckily, this was not a "lost" picture! We were going through their Little Italy, with delicious pastry and cakes as well as pizza and pasta spots...)
I know! It was fun, my first trip across the Atlantic Ocean and my first European country.
There was no shopping on my mind, mainly making photos with my camera. Only one lens and I didn't know what to capture. Everything was new to me so I didn't think beyond possibly running out of memory on my camera's SD cards.
On the second day, we walked to a camera store to buy a memory card and really didn't need it.
One upside was that I didn't get a chance to really see what I took images of. My laptop was at home and while I brought my iPad, I couldn't link up the bluetooth...short story: I peered at the pictures on my smaller than three inches camera viewing screen and hoped for at least one good image per day.
I managed eight days and I'm still transferring stills and videos from my iPhone 14 Pro. For myself only, I need to go back and mark which stills are iPhone - because I want to learn how to edit images and make better photos on my camera.
iPhones are great! They also decide its "best" composition and color grade while my camera is pretty close to what I remember the moment being. hahaha then I edit it!
Here's Boston, also the first time I'd been to this city and state. I loved the accent of our server at Barking Crab!
