Driving on Oahu (2025)

December 2024 - Ka'ena Point Waialua, Oahu, Hawaii

I have a few devices to capture the world around me and the latest is an action camera, the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro and their DJI suction cup mount.

In the past couple of weeks, when the weather is bright and sunny or overcast and drizzly, I've affixed the camera to my vehicle's inside windshield to record when I'm at a stoplight or mid-journey.

After a few days the most recent setting of "Video/4K-RS+/16:9/30fps" was most pleasing to me!

When I post videos on my YouTube channel, I will usually note about "...needing to clean my car" in the video caption.

While scrolling through my playlist, I took a look at my "Hawaii Video Postcards" page and renamed it "Walking Around Hawaii", as it has edits from my iPhone gimbal and handheld camcorder sessions during and after the COVID-19 pandemic (a sample below).

It's amazing. Like millions of other folks, being able to create for the sheer joy of discovery - for me to learn and post online until I could afford to buy more external hard drives hahaha, it is wild to look back and see where I like to revisit or how I might have spent my time.

This entry includes "driving" in the title and back to where I began, my little camera in my car. While I do have a rear camera that activates while I am in reverse, my car's monitor or screen is primarily for Radio/Bluetooth/USB inputs. Below is from a series of videos taken on Day One of use:
